This interactive playground in Rotterdam is a breathtaking fusion of photorealistic simulations and physical installations. Collaborating with @_yfxlab, the project transforms the entrance hallway into an immersive beach and ocean experience.
The installation captures the ethereal beauty of natural landscapes, reproduced in striking photorealistic detail. Light, texture, and motion are intricately programmed to mimic the subtle nuances of a beach at sunset, offering an escape within the urban environment.
The project employs cutting-edge simulation technology, allowing real-time light interactivity within a pre-rendered 3D environment. The interactive waterfall at the end of the hallway utilizes sensors to pause the water flow as visitors pass, blurring the lines between physical and digital realms.
